Glenn Lim Phang Zhen

I started building software in 2017, beginning with PHP web applications and gradually moving into single-page applications, enterprise systems, and data-driven solutions. I majored in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to strengthen my understanding of the systems behind the software. Not just how to build applications, but how data, technology, and business processes come together.

Today, I have close to 3 years of professional experience building software and data systems that are practical, maintainable, and aligned with real business needs. I have worked across application development, data processing, automation, and AI-assisted workflows, often taking projects end-to-end, from understanding problems and shaping requirements with stakeholders, to designing and developing solutions, deploying them, and helping users adopt them.

That experience has shaped how I think about technology. Good software is not simply software that works. It has to work within the reality of the people and processes around it. The best technical solution is therefore not necessarily the most sophisticated one, but the one that solves the right problem, fits the way people actually work, and can be maintained as the business grows.

I am now intentionally developing toward Solutions Architecture, deepening my understanding of distributed systems, data infrastructure, AI implementation, and system design. At the same time, I am working on something I consider equally important: the ability to reason about technical trade-offs and communicate technical decisions clearly to both engineers and stakeholders.

Outside of work, you will usually find me keeping up with technology, exploring ideas for things I could build, or learning something completely new. I enjoy experimenting, asking how things work, and turning interesting ideas into something tangible.
